Tour Plan
Day 1: Flight from Cairo to Luxor, Luxor's West Bank, and Sound and Light Show
Begin your journey as our representative picks you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza (the exact pick-up time will be confirmed 48 hours before your departure based on your flight schedule). You'll travel comfortably in an air-conditioned modern vehicle to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor, a city steeped in history and culture.
Upon arrival in Luxor, you'll be greeted by your Egyptologist tour guide, who will accompany you on a visit to Luxor's famous West Bank.
Valley of the Kings: Explore the West Bank, starting with the colossal statues of Amenhotep III known as the Colossi of Memnon. Then, delve into the Valley of the Kings, where you'll find magnificent tombs carved deep into the desert rock. These tombs are richly decorated and filled with treasures intended for the afterlife of the pharaohs. Your expert guide will lead you to three of these tombs, providing detailed insights into their rich history.
Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary: Continue your tour with a visit to the impressive Hatshepsut Temple, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh in Egypt's history. The temple is perched on terraces that merge with the surrounding limestone cliffs.
Following this tour, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local house, offering a unique opportunity to meet an Egyptian family and experience the hidden cultural side of Egypt. Then, return to the east bank to check in at your hotel.
In the evening, embark on a captivating adventure with the Luxor Sound and Light Show. Our representative will pick you up from your Luxor hotel and escort you to Karnak Temple, where you'll immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Pharaohs. Experience the wonder of the Karnak Sound and Light Show, where lights and music will transport you to the time of ancient Egypt. Learn about the construction of the Karnak Temple and the mysteries of Pharaonic civilization. After the show, our representative will safely return you to your hotel for an overnight stay in Luxor.
Day 2: Hot Air Balloon, East Bank, Sailing Felucca, Camel Ride, Typical Egyptian Lunch, and Flight to Cairo Luxor Hot Air Balloon
Start the day with an extraordinary adventure: a hot air balloon ride over Luxor. This experience offers a unique perspective on the world's largest open-air museum. As you soar above Luxor, you'll witness its vast historical treasures from the sky. After your balloon ride, you'll enjoy breakfast aboard a motorboat while learning about the flight's procedures. The next leg of your journey takes you to the west bank, where you'll visit the impressive Hatsheput temple and embark on a hot air balloon ride lasting 30 to 40 minutes above some of the world's oldest temples, including the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatsheput temple, Luxor museums, and the breathtaking Nile. You'll have the opportunity to take exceptional photos of the sky and enjoy the fresh air before landing. Your adventure will conclude with a small celebration and a certificate to commemorate your flight over Egypt.
Karnak Temple: After some well-deserved rest at your hotel, your expert tour guide will pick you up to explore the world's largest temple, Karnak Temple. This colossal complex is dedicated to the gods Amon, Mut, and Khonsu, showcasing various temples and intricate depictions of plants and animals. Listen closely to your guide as they reveal the temple's remarkable history.
Luxor Temple: Continue your journey with a visit to Luxor Temple, a smaller but equally beautiful temple dedicated to Amunhotep III and completed by King Ramesses II. Delight in the detailed frescoes depicting ancient Egyptian festivals that were held here annually during the god Amon's journey to Luxor Temple.
Sailing Felucca and Camel Ride: The next adventure is a traditional Felucca sail on the majestic Egyptian Nile. This serene journey will provide you with unforgettable memories, enveloped in tranquility, culture, nature, and the authentic Egyptian atmosphere. Don't forget your camera to capture unique photos during the ride. You'll enjoy a delicious typical Egyptian meal while sailing and reach Banana Island, known for its variety of fruits such as mango, guava, dates, and oranges. You can savor some fresh bananas and take a leisurely walk around the island. Additionally, there's an opportunity for swimming in front of the island, offering the perfect spot for a refreshing dip. On the return, you'll visit Camel Island, where you'll have a chance to ride a camel and catch a glimpse of the local houses and the lives of the people living there. This experience provides a deep immersion into Egyptian culture, all while enjoying a cup of Egyptian tea. You'll then sail back to Luxor, concluding your fabulous cultural journey.
Return to Cairo: After an unforgettable day in Luxor, you'll be driven to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo in the evening, depending on your flight schedule. Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, we'll pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Cairo or Giza, marking the end of your memorable trip.
